The L-Fund is moving uptown with their 2018 Gala to raise emergency funds for lesbians in need. No more Gumbo parties. This year it’s at the Aqua Caliente Hotel and Casino in Rancho Mirage, on February 17, 2018. Time to dress up and support this effort, which seems to become more vital with each passing year. They are honoring Jewel Thais-Williams, (former) owner of The Catch, and the blues diva, Elaine Gibbs, who will keep you dancing.

Lesbians are among the poorest Americans. Overall, they traditionally have a financial history similar to that of low-income workers. This means that the slightest event, like the car breaking down or getting sick can result in financial disaster. This organization is a great resource for all lesbian communities. If you don’t have an L-Fund in your community, think about starting one.
