The Healing Power of Humor
Humor is empowering! To cope in today’s hectic world, a sense of humor is vital. The power of humor lies in its ability to restore vitality, preserve sanity, strengthen self-identity, and reduce stress and anxiety. With humor, our busy, complex lives become manageable and filled with joy.
1. To gain knowledge about the physiological benefits of laughter.
2. To learn ways to utilize humor to reduce stress and anxiety.
3. To improve communication skills using appropriate humor.

THIS DAY IN LGBTQ HISTORY is a four-part compilation, a continuing project of my heart. As a retired educator and LGBTQ professional, I understand that we LGBTQ people did not pop out of a bar last Thursday night. We have a long, rich history that has been buried for far too long. My purpose in creating this multi-volume compilation is to share who we are, how long we’ve been around, and on whose shoulders we stand.
